GAME 14-MARINERS 7, Fraser 4

The JV Mariners completed an epic sweep of a very good Fraser team by winning game three of the series 7-4 last night. Tanner Charbeneau picked up the win on the mound, firing five strong innings, striking out one and pitching out of several big jams. Hunter Daniels was the offensive star for the Mariners, going 2-4 with 3 RBI's and scoring two runs. Daniels also keyed a big four run rally in the 5th inning with a bases loaded, two-run single that put the Mariners up 5-4. Lucas Francis was 2-3 with a pair of singles and a big RBI in the rally as well. Kyle Wernert was 2-4 with a double and an RBI, and Tanner Charbeneau and Josh Fahs each contribued with singles. The Mariners are now 10-4 overall and 8-2 in MAC Gold play. Great week boys!!

GAME 13-MARINERS 12, Fraser 6

The JV Mariners battled back from an early 6-2 deficit to score ten consecutive runs and defeat a tough Fraser squad by the score of 12-6 last night in Fraser. Trevor Knox picked up the win on the mound in relief of Reese Adamczyk. Knox hurled 3 innings of scoreless ball without allowing a hit and striking out one. Connor Lisko pitched a hitless final inning. Offensively, Kyle Wernert was 2-2 with a huge bases loaded three-run double to break the game wide open for the Mariners. Lisko was 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Hunter Daniels continued his torrid hitting by going 2-3 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored. Cam D'Allesio, Lucas Francis, and Reese Adamczyk each added singles and Cam Arnold scored three runs in the win. Knox had a pair of RBI's and won a staring contest with the pitcher after a hit by pitch. The Mariners are now 9-4 overall and 7-2 in MAC Gold play.

GAME 12-MARINERS 10, Fraser 2

The JV Mariner Baseball team put together another solid outing in a big 10-2 win over a very good Fraser team. Kyle Wernert picked up his third win of the season on the mound by firing all five innings, striking out six and allowing just two earned runs. Josh Headlee continued to mash the ball, going 2-3 with a double and two RBI's. Hunter Daniels was also 2-3 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI, and Lucas Francis, Cam D'Allesio, and Reese Adamczyk also added two hits and an RBI each. Wernert helped his own cause with a single and two runs scored, Tanner Charbeneau had a double and a pair of RBI's, and Connor Lisko rounded out the hitting with a single. The Mariners are now 8-4 on the season and 6-2 in MAC Gold play.

GAME 11-MARINERS 10, Lakeshore 2

The JV Mariners put together a strong performance in a big 10-2 win over Lakeshore last night. Kyle Wernert was dominant on the mound, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing just two earned runs. Wernert struck out 12 and allowed just two hits and two walks. Offensively, Connor Lisko had a huge bases loaded, 3-run double in the second inning to blow the game open for the Mariners. Lisko added another double later in the game and a pair of runs scored. Josh Headlee was 2-3 with two RBI's and two runs scored and Cam D'Allesio, Hunter Daniels, and Trevor Knox each added RBI singles in the win. Cam Arnold scored a pair of runs and Lucas Francis added an RBI. The Mariners are now 7-4 overall and 5-2 in MAC Gold play. Great job boys!

GAME 10-Lamphere 17, MARINERS 2

The JV Mariners dropped the third game of a three-game series to Lamphere by the score of 17-2. Hunter Daniels took the loss on the mound and got relief help from Trevor Knox, Cam D'Allesio, and Lucas Francis. Cam Arnold and Knox each had an RBI single in the win and Arnold added a run scored. The Mariners are 6-4 overall and 4-2 in MAC play.

 

GAME 9-Lamphere 9, MARINERS 8

The JV Baseball team jumped out to an early 8-1 lead in this one, but couldn't hold on in the end as Lamphere scored five in the 3rd and three in the 5th to pull out the win. Tanner Charbeneau took the loss on the mound in relief of Connor Lisko, who fired the first three innings and struck out four. Lisko was 2-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI and Cam D'Allesio added a single and two runs scored. Hunter Daniels and Reese Adamczyk each had good games at the plate, both going 2-3 with a double and Daniels added two RBI's. Cam Arnold added an RBI single and Josh Headlee had a pair of doubles, a run scored, and an RBI. The loss drops the JV record to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in MAC Gold play.

 

GAME 8-MARINERS 6, Lamphere 0

The JV Baseball team came away with a big 6-0 win in the opening game of a doubleheader against Lamphere last night. Reese Adamczyk picked up the win on the mound in his first pitching action of the season, firing 3 strong innings and striking out one. Josh Headlee got the save in relief of Adamczyk, pitching 3 innings and striking out five. Headlee also had the big hit in the game, a two run double to put the Mariners up 3-0 in the third inning, and Lucas Francis added a two run single later in the inning to extend the lead. Connor Lisko had a double and two runs scored, Cam D'Allesio had a single and an RBI, Hunter Daniels had a single and a run scored, and Cam Arnold and Trevor Knox each added singles in the win. The win puts the JV team at 6-2 on the season and 4-0 in the MAC Gold.

GAME 7-MARINERS 3, Warren Woods-Tower 0

The JV Mariners beat Tower for a third consecutive game in the rain-shortened contest by the score of 3-0. Tanner Charbeneau picked up the win on the mound, striking out five. Cam D'Allessio continued his hot hitting with a single and a run scored, while Austin Slankster picked up a big RBI single. Kyle Wernert added a single and a run scored and Charbeneau added a single to help his own cause. The win puts the JV record at 5-2 on the season overall and 3-0 in league play.

 

GAME 6-MARINERS 10, Warren Woods-Tower 0

Connor Lisko pitched a complete game shutout to go along with his single, RBI, and two runs scored to lead the Mariners to a decisive 10-0 mercy rule win against Tower in game two of the double header. Lisko allowed just two hits while striking out nine and walking two. The Mariners took advantage of some rough Tower pitching as they drew 15 walks in the game. Cam Arnold added a big two out, two run single in the final inning to secure the mercy rule win. The win puts the JV record at 4-2 overall and 2-0 in league play.

GAME 5-MARINERS 11, Warren Woods-Tower 1

The Mariner JV Baseball team pushed their record to 3-2 on the season with a game 1 victory over Tower by the score of 11-1. Kyle Wernert went the distance on the mound, striking out five and walking two. Josh Headlee led the Mariners with a pair of singles and two runs scored, while Connor Lisko, Wernert, Tanner Charbeneau, Cam D'Allesio, and Reese Adamczyk each added a single in the win. Lisko also scored two runs and had two RBI's in the win.

GAME 4-MARINERS 6, Utica 5

The JV Mariners put together a strong effort in game two of the non-league doubleheader and won on a walk-off single by Hunter Daniels to secure the 6-5 win over a tough Utica squad. Tanner Charbeneau threw the first three innings, allowing just one earned run. Connor Lisko picked up the win on the mound in relief of Charbeneau, throwing the final two innings and allowing two runs, striking out one. Lisko also contributed in a big way on offense, going 1-1 with two walks and three runs scored, including the game winner. Tanner Charbeneau scorched the ball all day, going 2-3 with a pair of singles and a run scored, while Josh Headlee added an RBI double and a run scored as well. Cam D'Allesio added an RBI single and Trevor Knox pitched in with a single of his own. Kyle Wernert had a run scored and also had a clutch sacrifice bunt in the final inning to set up the game winning hit by Daniels. The JV Mariners are now 2-2 on the young season.

GAME 3-Utica 8, MARINERS 2

The JV Mariners dropped game one of a double header with Utica by the score of 8-2. Josh Headlee took the loss on the mound despite throwing very well. Headlee threw 4 1/3 innings, striking out two. Trevor Knox pitched the final 2/3 inning for the Mariners. Offensively, Headlee added an RBI single, while Hunter Daniels and Kyle Wernert each pitched in with singles of their own. Connor Lisko added an RBI. The loss puts the JV record at 1-2 for the season.

 

GAME 2-Marysville 6, MARINERS 5

The JV Baseball team battled hard last night against Marysville but lost 6-5 in a close one. Kyle Wernert started on the mound and threw great for the Mariners, pitching 5 innings, striking out 4 and allowing just three earned runs. Josh Headlee took the loss in relief of Wernert despite throwing well int he final inning and allowing one run. Offensively, Headlee led the way with a double, single, and two runs scored, while Tanner Charbeneau added a double. Other Mariners collecting hits were Connor Lisko, Hunter Daniels, Cam D'Allesio, and Trevor Knox. The Mariners are 1-1 on the season and take on Utica today in a home doubleheader.

 

GAME 1-MARINERS 7, Memphis 2

The Junior Varsity Baseball team started their season with a victory last night over Memphis by the score of 7-2. Hunter Daniels picked up the win on the mound, firing the first 3 2/3 innings and striking out six. Tanner Charbeneau was credited with a save, pitching the final 3 1/3 scoreless innings and striking out six as well. Offensively, the Mariners picked up only two hits from Reese Adamczyk and Trevor Knox, but took advantage of multiple walks and errors to pull out the victory. Josh Headlee and Adamczyk added RBI's in the win. The Mariners are 1-0 on the young season.
